Development Pathway
There are a number of pathways open to adaptive snowboarders and skiers to perform at varying levels more details> These include competing with able bodied competitors, inclusive events, those for people with sensory, physical & intellectual impairments and pathways unique for those with intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, hearing impaired and physical disabilities.

Get in touch with us so we can keep you up to date with any training opportunities available.
- Perfect your technique - enrol in an improver's course at your local mountain or take some lessons with a qualified adaptive instructor.
- Come and join tje annual Adaptive snow Sports Festival and National Championships. Meet our coaches, get some training and have a go at racing.
- Get training - your local mountain, ski or snowboard club is a great place to start.
- Get competing - once you have had some training start competing in your local events, most mountains run events from entry to elite level.
- If your goal is to represent NZ as a Paralympian or Adaptive Snowboarder, the next step is to spend a season training in North America or Europe and competing in the Continental Cup and World Cup events, or if you wish to be a Special Olympian contact your local Special Olympics group.
