High Performance Training

If you have aspirations to compete at a national or international level here are our top 6 recommendations:

  1. Get in touch with us so we can keep you up to date with any training opportunities available.
  2. Perfect your technique - enrol in an improver's course at your local mountain or take some lessons with a qualified adaptive instructor.
  3. Come and join us at our annual Festival and National Championships. Meet our coaches, get some training and have a go at racing.
  4. Get training - your local mountain, ski or snowboard club is a great place to start.
  5. Get competing - once you have had some training start competing in your local events, most mountains run events from entry to elite level.
  6. If your goal is to represent NZ, the next step is to spend a season training in North America or Europe and competing in the Continental Cup and World Cup events.

Race Training

We run several race training weekends during the winter season. If you are interested in ski and snowboard racing and want to develop your skills further our training camps can help you get on the way. Please contact our National Office if you are interested in taking part in these camps.
