"All you need is a little motivation and no fear"

Adam was born in 1987 and has spina bifida. He is a member of the NZ Disabled Ski Team, having converted from snowboarding to skiing a short two years ago so he could achieve his ten year dream of representing NZ at the winter Paralympics. His outstanding performances last season assured his early selection to the NZ Paralympic Team and he has also been showing good form in the technical events on the World Cup circuit. Adam competed in all four Alpine disciplines, Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom.

Results:

40th in Slalom #1
43rd in Giant Slalom #2
47th in Giant Slalom #1
50th in Super-G
41st in Downhill

"Do whatever makes you happy and do it to the best of your ability"

A member of the NZ Disabled Ski Team, Ant was born in 1981. He started skiing as soon as he could walk but lost his right arm after a car crashed into him while he was playing cricket on the road. Inspired by the achievements of NZ's Paralympians Rachael Battersby, Steve Bayley and Matt Butson, Ant's passion for skiing now had a focus. He has been working hard on his goal of representing NZ at the 2006 Paralympic Games since 2003, steadily working up the World Cup rankings in his favoured technical disciplines Slalom and Giant Slalom. Ant realised his dream in February when he was selected to the NZ Paralympic team and was honoured to be the NZ Flag bearer at the opening ceremony for the Games. Ant competed in all four Alpine disciplines, Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom.

Results:

33rd in Slalom #2
